The studies in the Laboratory of Dendrochronology (established 1985) concern mainly Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) but also Common spruce (Picea abies Karsten) and Pedunculate oak (Quercus robur L.) in Finland and adjacent areas in northern Norway and Russian Karelia.
